Getting started
Do you have spiritual hunger, longing for a deeper fellowship with the Lord, and a prayer life that transforms you and transforms others around you?
Have you been reading many spiritual books and hearing many blessed sermons, yet not knowing the way to attain the wondrous measures of a true and victorious Christian life that you hear and read about?
Do you long to ascend the mountain of fellowship with the Lord and behold His glory, as Moses did, yet do not know the way to this ascent or possibly need guidance and assistance?
Are you wondering why you are unable to see the desired fruits in your ministry despite your faithfulness and offering all what you can?
A journey.
This website takes you on a journey to experience a spiritual growth that knows no limits and measures, a fellowship with the Lord that would make you touch His presence, and a fruitful ministry that brings glory to the Lord.
‘That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power’ (Ephesians 1:17-19).
How?
All this can happen through going back to the early Church and the apostolic heritage, learning about the prayer life of the early fathers, their fellowship with the Word of God, and how they were transformed into Christlikeness, which made them true icons of Christ, and transformed the life of many around them.
This is all the work of the grace of God, but there are channels that can attract the grace and allow it to flow abundantly.
The grace of God is abundant and rich, as the Scriptures say: ‘And of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace’ (John 1:16). Yet why do Christians today seem to live in scarcity of grace and spiritual frailty? Where is ‘His fullness’ in our life?
We need to learn the different channels of receiving this abundant grace, and then allowing this grace to settle and continue to increase in our life.
This website will guide you through the different channels of achieving this, and help you on your path to spiritual perfection (Matthew 19:21).
Experience!
We believe that the best way to have a foretaste of the richness of the early Church is through experiencing an aspect of their prayer life. This includes: Praying the Psalms, following the seasons of salvation that are centred around the salvific acts of Christ, the Jesus Prayer, the blood of Jesus proclamations, their fellowship with the Word of God and how they read it in a way that opened its deep meanings for them and nourished their spirits richly.
… start with small steps.
Indeed no one can adopt this prayer life and spiritual lifestyle all in one go. Small steady steps are the best way for reaching the goal. Therefore, you can start with only one of these aspects. This will be explained in greater detail in the pages of this website, with their biblical basis and advice on the practical application. Follow it regularly for some time and experience for yourself its transforming effect in your life. Feel free to send questions in the for practical advice.
Living the Divine Calendar The path to Christ-likeness
The Divine Calendar may be the master tool of the Holy Spirit to ensure steadfast and continuous spiritual growth to full Christ-likeness. Following the yearly cycle of spiritual feasts and fasts allows us to “work out our salvation” (Philippians 2:12) year by year and be transformed into the “perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13), so that with the Apostle Paul we can say: “It is not longer I who live, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20). Just as passing through the seasons is bound to make a tree grow, so will the Divine Calendar surely make us grow in the Spirit.
The Constant Prayer Jesus Prayer
Do you seek a way that can lead you into unceasing worship and constant prayer? Into a permanent awareness of the presence of God? Do you want your heart to fully embrace the Lord Jesus and for Him to embrace your heart, to become united with His heart? Are you looking for a path towards spiritual perfection, even without being a full-time clergy?
Then the Jesus Prayer could be your answer. The Jesus Prayer is the prayer of God’s presence. It is the heart’s cry for Him to draw near, for a deep unity with Him: ‘you in Me and I in you’ (John 14:20). It is the bride’s ceaseless invocation of the name of her Beloved. Even in the busiest of times or in your most troubled moments, the Jesus Prayer will revive Christ in you and lead you back into the peace and stillness of the heart: ‘be still and know that I am God’ (Psalm 46:10).
